SIM SAMURAI HOT-LINKS
The following links are to other flight simulation products, flight training aids, and DIY cockpit builder resources which I have found to be the most useful and or most cost effective solutions for creating an advanced home built flight simulator cockpit or sim-pit. The last section includes some of todays most well known high end professional flight simulator companies that may interest you if money is no object. However, if you are still here ...I assume money IS an object! If its not ...call me!

While I certainly endorse these products they do not endorse me in any way! I only provide these links as I feel their products are worthwhile and can help to finish out any of my flight simulator cockpit designs which I sell.  The first four categories are those products that are the most cost effective solutions for a sim-pit and all will work great with the Sim Samurai flight simulator cockpits. The last section however is reserved for the most extreme builders who have enough money to go ahead and buy a real aircraft or a flight sim which is already built out like a real aircraft! However..if you have that kind of money laying around...I hope you already have a real bird in the hangar! So, again my goals here at SimSamurai.net are always ones that will steer you to the most cost effective solutions that yield high quality results.

Take notice that I have also provided links to other cockpit builder sites so you can compare the Sim Samurai sim station product line to other sim cockpits that may either be more advanced than mine or perhaps even less advanced.  I list my competitors simply because I want you to know whats out there and I want you to reflect on my principles of form follows function and what I feel a great sim station should be.  Again, this is Affordable, Easy to Build, and Easy to Move.  Don't forget that I personally include "aircraft flexible" in this too as I think that being able to fly many aircraft in your hangar is a big part of the fun...even for a professional home sim!  Only if you are seeking FAA certification with a sim will this principle ever need reexamination.  However, even some FAA certified sims use virtual instrumentation just as I do so again, I urge you to not pigeonhole yourself into just one aircraft type with loads of costly analog hardware until you are flying in that real world aircraft for a long term career or have found a dream bird you can't be without!

After review of the small amount of competitors in the DIY home built sim station cockpit market I think you will see that the SimSamurai flight simulator cockpits are in fact the ultimate way to go.  My designs will allow you to fly alot of aircraft via simple monitor displays yet are also flexible enough to install a more permanent "single aircraft type panel" down the road if desired.

The Sim Samurai Sim Station Cockpit product line up meets all of these last criteria so if you are looking at other sim designs or other sim cockpit retailers you should ask the very same questions of other sim station designs that may look enticing to you. ...Is it affordable? Is it easy to build? Will it last? Is it easy to disassemble?

I soon think you will realize that I did
alot of homework and research in developing my products and hope you will see that a SimSamurai sim station DIY cockpit is in fact the ultimate way to go as it is realistically affordable, it is very durable, it is easy to build, and you can easily move it anywhere you want.  And lets not forget the all important fact that my flight simulator designs allow for you to fly ANY aircraft you desire. Therefore once built or purchased you do not have to pigeonhole yourself into just one instrument panel that would cost you thousands upon thousands of dollars to build out with real analog hardware!  With more and more real aircraft switching to large LCD screens in the cockpit ...why not do the same at home!

The philosophy of all Sim Samurai cockpit designs is one of being flexible, fun, and very flyable!  If a true analog environment is your end goal don't forget that my sim stations can also house most every piece of pro level flight simulator instrument panel hardware that I reference in these links.  So whether you want multi-monitor LCD action or want to become a "single panel pro"  these links will help you create your own unique flight path!

As said before, I feel your money is best spent building a Sim Samurai sim station cockpit yourself and then look at buying other analog hardware components down the road as you have more funds available.  As you will soon see, equipping any sim station with a specific type of "single type panel"  of pro level FAA certifiable equipment can easily run you $5000-$10,000 or more for the panel alone and that's not including the sim's computer(s) or the sim cockpit shell either!  With my methods this cost is reduced by well over 50-75% if not even more!  Again, my own goal is always one of finding the most cost effective solutions that yield pro results.

By building a Sim Samurai flight simulator sim station cockpit, and purchasing my tech manual ; Sim Samurai's Ultimate Guide To Advanced Flight Simulation, and lastly by purchasing some high quality virtual gauges found at right, along with minimal tactile hardware such as your yoke, throttle, and some radio equipment, you will save yourself thousands of dollars while still being able to enjoy a large variety of aircraft with FS 2004 or FSX.

It's what I do... It's what I recommend !

I guarantee that  if you heed all my advice you will soon see that my products and solutions are the most cost effective yet will still produce the most worthwhile professional results for a home built flight sim. I put in alot of time, research, and effort into all my sim products and know you will benefit from using each one!
